📋 Overview

EvidenceHub ("the App") is designed to help you manage accident evidence, emergency contacts, insurance information, and medical details. Your privacy is our top priority. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights.

💾 Data Storage

100% Local Storage

All data you enter — including emergency contacts, incidents, insurance details, medical information, and app settings — is stored exclusively on your device in the App's private storage directory.

No data is uploaded to any server
No data is shared with third parties
No analytics or tracking is collected
No account or registration is required

🔑 Permissions

The App requests only the permissions necessary for its features. Each permission is explained below:

📍 Location (Fine & Coarse)

Used to tag incident reports with your GPS coordinates and include your location in emergency SMS messages. Location is only captured when you tap "Get Location" or during a crash alert.

📷 Camera

Used to capture photos of accident damage, vehicles, and surroundings as evidence. Photos are stored on your device only.

📱 SMS (SEND_SMS)

Used to send emergency SMS alerts to your contacts when a crash is detected. Messages are only sent during a confirmed crash alert — never silently or without your knowledge.

🎤 Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)

Used to record 30 seconds of audio evidence immediately after a crash is detected. Recordings are stored locally and are never transmitted.

👤 Contacts (READ_CONTACTS)

Used only when you choose to import a contact from your phonebook. The App reads only the selected contact's name and phone number — it does not scan or store your entire contact list.

📞 Phone (CALL_PHONE)

Used for the quick-dial feature, allowing you to call an emergency contact directly from the app. Calls are only initiated when you tap the call button.

⚡ Foreground Service & Sensors

Used for crash detection. The App monitors your phone's accelerometer via a foreground service (with a visible notification) to detect sudden impacts. Sensor data is processed in real-time and is never stored or transmitted.

🚫 Data Sharing

EvidenceHub does NOT:

Collect or transmit any personal data
Use advertising or analytics SDKs
Share data with any third parties
Require an internet connection to function
Store any data outside your device

The only time data leaves your device is when you choose to:

Export a backup (via share sheet)
Email insurance info as a PDF
Share an incident report
Send emergency SMS messages

✅ Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

Access — All your data is visible within the App at any time
Export — Back up all your data via Settings → Export
Delete — Uninstalling the App permanently removes all stored data
Permissions — You can revoke any permission at any time via your device's Settings app

👶 Children's Privacy

This App is intended for use by individuals who hold a valid driving licence. We do not knowingly collect or store data from children under 16.
