Getting Started

  1. Create an Account

    Sign up with a username and password. Save your recovery codes - you'll need them if you forget your password.

  2. Set Up Your Profile

    Go to Profile to add a bio, avatar, and social links. Choose whether your profile is public or private.

  3. Upload Files

    Navigate to Files and drag & drop or click to upload. Organize with folders and share with friends.

Managing Files

Upload: Drag files onto the upload area or click to browse. Multiple files can be uploaded at once.

Download: Click the download button on any file to save it to your device.

Rename: Click the edit/rename button on a file to change its name.

Delete: Click the delete button to permanently remove a file. This cannot be undone.

Move: Drag files into folders to organize them, or use the move option.

Folders

Create Folder: Click "New Folder" and enter a name to create a folder.

Navigate: Click a folder to enter it. Use the breadcrumb or back button to go up.

Rename/Delete: Hover over a folder to see rename and delete options.

Share Folder: You can share entire folders with friends or via link.

Sharing Files

Share with Friend: Click share on a file and select a friend. They'll receive the file in their shared files.

Share Link: Create a public or private link that anyone can use to download the file.

Password Protection: Add a password when creating a share link for extra security.

Expiring Links: Set an expiration time so the link stops working after a certain period.

Private Links: When sharing via messages, links are restricted to only the recipient.

Shared files appear in the "Shared with Me" section of the Files page.

Friends

Find Users: Search for users by username in the Friends page.

Send Request: Click "Add Friend" on a user's profile to send a friend request.

Accept/Deny: Check the "Friend Requests" tab to accept or deny incoming requests.

Remove Friend: Click "Unfriend" on a friend's card to remove them.

View Profile: Click on a friend to view their profile and social links.

Messages

Start Chat: Click "+ New" to search for a user and start a conversation.

Send Message: Type your message and press Enter or click Send.

Share Files: Click the "📁 Files" button to share a file directly in chat.

Edit/Delete: Hover over your own messages to edit or delete them.

Message Requests: Messages from non-friends appear in the Requests tab for approval.

Disappearing Messages: Enable in settings (⏱️ icon) to auto-delete messages after a set time.

Profile Settings

Avatar: Click your avatar to upload a new profile picture (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP).

Bio: Add a short description about yourself.

Public/Private: Toggle whether your profile is visible to non-friends.

Social Links: Add links to your website, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, GitHub, Discord, Facebook, Threads, or Messenger.

Privacy Settings

Messages Enabled: Turn off to prevent anyone from messaging you.

Friends Only: Only allow messages from your friends.

Disappearing Messages: Messages you send will automatically delete after the set time (30 seconds to 24 hours).

Your disappearing message setting only affects messages you send. Recipients control their own settings.

Account & Security

Recovery Codes: When you sign up, you receive 6 recovery codes. Save these securely - they're the only way to reset your password.

Reset Password: Use the "Forgot Password" link on login and enter a recovery code to set a new password.

Delete Account: In Profile settings, scroll to the danger zone to permanently delete your account and all data.

Each recovery code can only be used once. Keep your codes safe and never share them.

Frequently Asked Questions

I forgot my password. How do I reset it? +
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your username and one of your recovery codes. You'll then be able to set a new password. Each recovery code can only be used once.
How do I share a file with someone? +
Click the share button on any file. You can either select a friend to share with directly, or create a share link that you can send to anyone. You can add passwords and expiration times to links.
Why can't someone message me? +
Check your privacy settings. You may have messages disabled or set to friends-only. If they're not your friend, their message will appear in your Requests tab and you'll need to accept it.
What are disappearing messages? +
When enabled, messages you send will automatically delete after the time you set (30 seconds to 24 hours). This only affects messages you send - each user controls their own setting.
Can I recover deleted files? +
No. When you delete a file, it's permanently removed from the server. Make sure you have backups of important files before deleting.
How do I make my profile private? +
Go to Profile and toggle the "Public Profile" setting off. Private profiles can only be viewed by your friends.
